The superb picture below is additional parts of Fire Helmet Decals's article that's posted by Lori Grimes.
Easily one of Bell’s most anticipated helmets, the MX-9 Adventure sees Bell finally enter the ADV segment and they’ve created a very appealing first time effort. Based closely on the new MX-9, you get the same aggressive looking polycarbonate shell and venting system. However, naturally Bell has created a new, more aerodynamic visor and a large flip up face shield to go with it. Equally capable on the street or dirt, you get a design that likes fast riding on both surfaces. The colorways are all extremely sharp looking but this is overshadowed by the price point which is sub $200. Definitely not a bad thing.
If there is one thing you can fault HJC for it is not the lack of providing the customer with enough options. Sliding in between the CL-MAX II and the SY-MAX 3, the $200ish IS-MAX 2 continues the trend of HJC delivering a lot bang for your dollar. More angular than most HJC helmets, the stylish IS-MAX 2 nonetheless still uses a polycarbonate composite shell and the proven QuickSlide shield system. The biggest difference you’ll notice though is the revised venting which feature large button operated vents. The IS-MAX 2 also comes with a drop down sun shield which further helps it differentiate from the CL-MAX II.
The first full face Shoei helmet to feature an internal sun shield, the GT-AIR is a potent offering breaking new ground on the future of motorcycle helmet safety. Not content with just slapping on a sun shield for the sake of convenience, Shoei has reengineered its shell designs to accommodate and improve the concept. Pieced together, the completed offering is a superbly competent all a-rounder.
