We have specialised in motorbike helmets for over 30 years now and have one of the largest ranges available in store and online. Your motorcycle helmet is the most important piece of kit you’ll buy for motorcycling and choosing the correct one is essential. You never know when your motorcycle helmet may be called upon so it makes sense to look after it. A motorcycle helmet generally has a life of around 3-5 years. We carry such a big range of helmets that we can cater for all riding styles, budgets and tastes. We have 20 brands from the world’s leading motorcycle helmet manufacturers to ensure that we have a helmet for everyone including; Bell, Arai and Scorpion.
Sounds easy, right? So why do most bikers not have any idea what their own head size is, and what style of helmet is most suitable for them to wear? My opinion on this is that most bikers and riders don’t care as much about comfort and fitment as they do about looks. Form over Function (ladies; you may be more guilty of this than your counterparts.)
Security and Comfort Considerations: Security and comfort must be considered when choosing quality motorcycle helmets for customization. You do not have to go for expensive brands to achieve exceptional comfort, but you really need to find out as much information about each helmet type. While you customize your helmet, remember that the more you make it lighter the more are you likely to remove inner shells and bulky components that can protect you during high collision situations.
The conservative rider, who does not trust their security and safety to the helmet, should consider buying three-quarter or full face motorcycle helmets. These helmets can also be customized to suit any needs and will protect the whole head. So conservatives can also customize their helmets and still feel absolutely secure.
So the novelty helmets, with their glossy and low profile look, may never be completely safe. Besides, the half helmets come with inner protective lining for securing your skull but will not protect your most sensitive facial parts of the head.
