Diffuser Type 12: The Corsair X Type 12 air diffusers are longer than the Corsair V and are straightened for improved aerodynamics, working together with the AirWing to improve stability, and creating a 19% gain in efficiency. The air intake vents are extremely adjustable and have three positions (closed, half open and fully open) and create a tight seal to decrease wind noise and water intrusion. Eco Pure Liner: The fully removable interior liner system is made from Eco Pure material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption, as well as a softer liner material and adjustable temple padding to allow for a customized fit.
Open face helmets are prized by motorcycle riders for their convenience and field of vision, but rarely are they ever associated with such traits as aerodynamically refined and quietness. Shoei largely bucks the trend with the RJ Platinum R, an open face helmet that really surprises out on the road. The density EPS liner is very nicely padded and while cooling is already excellent, Shoei has still gone ahead and equipped it with adjustable forehead vents. In addition, a removable visor lets you have the option of attaching a face shield for a little more coverage.
VAS Shield System: Normally the shield mounting position must remain relatively high, because a lower shield pivot will not allow the shield to open or close. The VAS (Variable Axis System) has a variable axis (moving pivot point). This allows shield opening and closing even with the 24mm lower shield mount position, compared to the Corsair V. PB SNC2 Shell: The Corsair X helmet shell is constructed from Super Fiber and other special synthetic fibers developed for F-1 helmet visor panels, assembled and bonded by Arai experts. A specially-developed resin creates stronger bonds between shell materials with less weight.
A company that has perfected the art of providing excellent value to the streetbike rider, Scorpion seeks to reinforce this legacy with the all new EXO-R410 Airline helmet. Made using a tough polycarbonate shell, the EXO-R410 displays clean lines that are both stylish and functional with the latter aiding in aerodynamics and the channeling of air into its vents. On the inside, Scorpion has provided a moisture wicking liner with a quick release for emergency situations. And to finish it all off, the quick changing EverClear® faceshield is fog free, highly adjustable and tight sealing. For any motorcyclist, the Scorpion EXO-R410 Airline is not one to overlook.
The Qualifier reborn, the Qualifier upgraded. Whatever way you look at it, Bell has spawned the Qualifier DLX, a new mid-priced helmet that has some very cool features attached to it. First up and probably most noticeable is the built in accommodation for Sena and Cardo communicators. A snap-in, plug and play setup, the configuration is incredibly easy to use. Next up, all Qualifier DLX helmets come with Transitions® equipped faceshields. Rain, sun, cloudy days or night riding, you now get one faceshield that can cover it all. Polycarbonate is the material of choice for the shell and inside Bell’s proven ventilation system and contour shaped padding carries over. In the end, the Qualifier DLX might just be Bell’s most versatile street helmet.
