Premium Scorpion craftsmanship at a price that is still lower than the competition. Answering the call for a MotoGP caliber helmet, Scorpion created the EXO-R2000 as an entirely new design that compromises nothing whether at the track or on the street. Using Scorpion’s own special composite blend, a shell was formed that stays light and strong while its 4 shell sizes ensure a perfect fit. A channeled EPS liner combines with the AirFit® Liner Inflation System to create an interior that stays comfortable and flows plenty of air. From the dual density foam to the sleek and symmetrical face shield and the titanium d-ring, the Scorpion EXO-R2000 helmet has the detailing to be the envy of motorcyclists everywhere.
HJC’s replacement to the CL-16, the CL-17 isn’t just one digit more name wise, it is a nice evolution of an already very good budget helmet. Not groundbreaking in construction, the design is nevertheless well thought-out and well put together. The lighter and stronger polycarbonate composite shell is a nice step forward, as well is the refined ACS ventilation system which makes a big difference in improving ride comfort. Shield changes are done by way of HJC’s very easy to use Rapidfire™ system and though not equipped with Pinlock®, the shield is prepared for it. All things considered, the CL-17 is popular for a good reason. It has great features, a solid construction and nice looks at a hard to say no price.
When you write out a list of the features you want in a helmet, the GMax GM32 surprisingly meets just about all of them. It’s got a visor that snaps on and off, a drop down sunshield and an interior that is moisture wicking and removable. Venting is already going to be good on a 3/4 but GMax has nevertheless still taken the time to add vents above the brow and along the back. And because this is a GMax, the price is hard to beat.
Once again Scorpion redefines the definition of value and versatility. Introducing the all new EXO-AT950, a versatile modular Adventure Touring helmet. It has features and quality that you would expect to pay three times more for. The EXO-AT950 can be used as a full face ADV helmet with external peak visor attached, or the peak visor can be removed and you have an aerodynamic touring helmet. The oversized eye port is extremely wide for greater peripheral vision and downward visibility, and the modular chin bar can be conveniently flipped up when you stop to get gas or ask for directions.
If your next motorcycle adventure includes both on and off-road riding, the AFX FX-39 DS Helmet is versatile enough for both. This do-all helmet features a large eyeport for increased visibility, an optically correct shield which can be removed for goggles, and a washable anti-microbial liner and cheek pads.
