One of the first companies to make an adventure touring specific helmet, Shoei has been well represented over the years by the Hornet DS. The time for a replacement has come though and the very advanced Hornet X2 Dual Sport helmet is it. Placing a big emphasis on aerodynamics, the X2 features a noticeably sleeker mouthpiece, a completely redesigned visor and vents that are better positioned to scoop air in. The shell is a composition of Shoei’s proven Multi-Ply Matrix AIM+ material and by using the CNS-2 shield, you get optically correct vision. Street or off-road, globetrotting or weekend ride, the Hornet X2 has a design that comes as close to that happy medium as you’ll find.
The aerodynamically designed tear-drop shell shape minimizes buffeting at high speeds and the AirFit® cheekpad system ensures a custom snug fit. The EXO-R2000 comes equipped with Emergency Release cheek pads, a standard EverClear® shield. Pinlock® MaxVision®-ready flat shields with tearoff posts are available as an accessory for the track.
Able to change from open face to full face in a matter of seconds, the modular Fly Tourist helmet is a highly versatile choice for both city and touring riders. The huge field of vision stays the same regardless of the configuration you choose as does the venting thanks to the built-in forehead air vents. Inside the Tourist features a removable Coolmax liner and special spacing intended for Bluetooth style communication speakers.
